Mission:
Our mission is to relieve isolation and reduce stress of parenting by providing outreach and a place where families can receive support, education, and develop a sense of community.

- Bright Beginnings Program – During the first three years, your baby will grow and develop more dramatically then during any other stage in life. Meeting your child's needs for nurturing, stimulation, and health care is critical to building a strong foundation that will allow your child to succeed in school and life. Bright Beginnings' programs are offered at no cost to any interested Colorado family with a child prenatal to age three without regard to income, age, or any other eligibility criteria. We offer two phases for families with young children in Boulder, Broomfield and Gilpin Counties.
- Warm Welcome Program - Warm Welcome
Celebrating the birth of every child and welcoming children into the community, these visits offer support and information to parents of newborns on health, safety, community resources, early brain development, and the importance of reading to children from birth.
A Warm Welcome Visit Includes:
- A Board Book for the Baby
- 40-Page Parent Resource Directory to Boulder County - Listing Parent Network Groups, Fun Centers, Libraries, Emergency Assistance, etc.
- Mozart Effect For Newborn CD or cassette tape
- Child and Brain Development Information
- Learningames Activity Booklet
- Child Care Resources
- Home Safety Tips
- Moving On
For parents of children ages 12-24 months offering information and tools that help families encourage language development during the child's second year of life.
- Weekly Family Education/Support Groups for parents, caregivers and their children at our Boulder community center includes age based groups, special language based groups, Single Moms Group, Dads Group and other groups as the need arises. The goal of these groups is to help parents find emotional support and connection and parenting information while their children interact in a stimulating environment.
- The Latino Family Strengthening Program offers the two Bright Beginnings programs: Warm Welcome and Moving on provides Family Education/Support Groups to Latino families in Boulder and Broomfield Counties. The Latino Family Strengthening Coordinator works with Latino families with children ages 0-5, providing them with English classes, interactive child development activities and other information and resources in order to improve early childhood development and school readiness skills.
- Family Connection is a monthly, in-depth news publication with relevant information regarding parent/child issues and resources. With a circulation of 6,000 it is widely available at hundreds of business agencies. This program is supported by local businesses who advertise and community members who write the articles.
- Donation Closet is located in the basement and is available to any parent.
We appreciate and accept the following donations:
- Clean clothing in good condition: children’s & maternity
- Non-battery operated toys, puzzles, board games
- Children’s items including high chairs, cribs, strollers, etc.
- Children’s books and parenting books in good condition
- Car seats that have not been in an accident and are not more than 5 years old
- We do not accept: adult clothing, household items, and stuffed animals.
- Food pantry is located near the kitchen and is available to families needing emergency food assistance.
- Parent library is located in the upstairs quiet room. Please feel free to borrow books and videos. When you do borrow, please return items in a timely manner.
